Freelance English And Western Lessons and Horse Training Available
I am a certified, full time Riding Instructor and have been teaching for over thirteen years.
I teach everyone ages six through adult... it's never to late to learn to ride!
I am a social worker and I have lots of patience for any person and any horse. If you or your child has anxiety or would like to use riding/horse care as a form of therapy we can arrange for that.
Ground and horse care lessons available and encouranged on my horses or yours. Learn to form a better relationship with your horse from the ground.
I can school your horse either English or Western and can also work with them on any bad habits they may have developed (trouble catching in turnout, bullying the handler, etc). I use a humane approach to all training and get the results by seeing things from the horse's point of view. I ride both ponies and horses and have lots of experience with green horses.
I run a local 501 c 3 Horse Rescue. Money earned from lessons goes toward this foundation. Find out more about Helping Horses Equine Rescue at www.HelpingHorsesNY.org

STALL FOR RENT ON CONNETQUOT PARK ISLIP SIDE
We have 2 stalls for rent on Connetquot Park. They are both box stalls with rubber mats. We are located right on the Park and go from the gate right into the Park with no distance at all.
We are a quiet 7 stall setup with 2 barns and turn out. Our menu is flexible and we are basically trail riders. We are simple and uncomplicated. Supplements are no problem. All horses are wormed on schedule by the barn included in the board. Horse stalls and paddocks are cleaned daily. Full Board is 600! Sorry but we cannot take horses with issues like cribbing, weaving, aggressiveness etc.
Experienced mature riding instructor available for Balanced Seat, Harmonius Horsemanship clinics at your farm or for your club. Improve your performance and your relationship with your horse. Ask the members of the Spirit of Long Island Drill team if they liked the clinic they had last year.
Willing to pick up a few more students at private farms in the Connetquot Park area. I teach all levels, all disciplines, balanced seat and harmonious horsemanship. My current students ride in English, Western and Dressage tack, sometimes in the same lesson together! We can even do ground work before a session to achieve a better relationship between the horse and it’s owner.
I have a small English and Western show team and if you want to coordinate shows with us, I’ll be there to warm you up and coach you through your classes. Your lessons don’t have to be a lifetime commitment. I can help you get a better performance just for the show season or over a hump and you can go merrily on your way through the park the rest of the year. Talk to Chris or Peggy at Rider’s Choice tack shop or Daphne, Fran, Maren, Maureen, Lauren, Carol or Kayla from the IHA Drill Team to learn more about my teaching style.
Need help teaching your horse to lunge? I use natural step by step methods to teach a horse and its owner to lunge properly instead of just chasing a horse around on a line. Learn to lunge as a training tool, to connect to your horse and get it to listen to you, to help it balance- not throw it off balance. If you are chasing your horse around the round pen- stop, back up and learn how to use the pen to your training advantage, not just to tire out the horse.

Jenny Guzzi Lessons English and Western PHOTO IS "JENNY" first show. I feel that when you are looking for a trainer, you should be able to see their qualifications. Please feel free to call me with any questions you may have. Qualifications: I have competed in both aspects of riding since the age of 3. My first show was short stirrup at Salt River, where I took home my first blue. Whether it be at the Hampton's or IHA, I was always in the blues. In Western I have barrel raced and did team penning for many years and some rodeos. I am currently a graduate of Dowling College where my major was teaching. I rode on the equestrain team to help pay my tuition. I am a certified vet tech, which is great for my career as a professional trainer. I am also a licensed realtor, and am able to show or sell homes for any of my customers or clients.
My father, Dean Guzzi, is a horse blacksmith My mother, Sharyn Guzzi, is the owner of Long Island Horse Properties, Inc.. My grandma rides & owns horses as well. My life has never been without horses. I currently own 20+ horses of my own which include some of my school horses and sale horses. I have never had a trainer ride any horse I owned. My parents would purchase green horses yearly for me and I would train and sell them. Each year I would show the new project horses that I was working on.
I always have a variety of sale or lease horses & ponies that are quiet and safe.

"Mommy and Me" Program at Project Sage Horse Rescue
Project Sage Horse Rescue is starting a new program at our new farm in Northport. We are looking for horse lovers 16 and older that want to come to the farm and spend time one on one with a rescue horse. You will be assigned one horse to work with and spend time with. Each horse will have two "Mommy's". We have many horses that need TLC and this program gives the horses a chance to have a one-on-one relationship with someone until they are adopted. Your responsibility will be working on ground manners, grooming, and riding. You will be responsible for the over all care of the horse. We always have older retired horses that just need to be pampered. All applicants MUST be experienced with horses. References will be checked and there is a short interview process. This is a great program for people who are looking to help the rescue horses become more adoptable.
